A World Class Stadium built in one of the most economically thriving suburbs of Abidjan
The Stade Olympique d'Ebimpé (Olympic Stadium of Ebimpé, official name: Stade Olympique Alassane Ouattara), is a multi-purpose stadium, which can host football, rugby and athletics, in Ebimpé and Anyama, in northern Abidjan, Ivory Coast (Côte d’Ivoire). It's the national stadium of the Ivory Coast National Football Team. The stadium has a capacity of 60,000 and was built by the Beijing Institute of Architectural Design. While the stadium itself covers 20 hectares, a vast Olympic village is planned around it, spanning 287 hectares.
Context
In December 2016, the Government of re began construction works on a 287-hectare Olympic village to the north of Abidjan. This modern sports and leisure complex is part of the Government’s plan to use sports to foster the sustainable economic development and growth of the city of Anyama (Ebimpé) and the surrounding areas. The focal point of the Olympic village, the Ebimpé national stadium, was completed in May 2020 and will host several matches in the 34th Africa Cup of Nations in 2024.
Goals

Activities
Building of a national Olympic stadium to host sporting and cultural events
Construction of an Olympic village: four residential estates, three school sports groups, a university of sport, an administrative area, a shopping area, a clinic, a four-star hotel and a nine-hole golf course.
Establishment of a 10,000-seat multipurpose hall, the Basketball Club Arena, for elite team sports and combat sports.
